It’s been a very FULL summer: full of meaningful connections with dear friends and full of travels. Add in caring for parents (2 surgeries back East!), grandkids, and adult kids on top of work and ministry…. phew! It’s been a lot!
Cru 25, our all Cru staff gathering in Milwaukee, was a sweet time to gather with co-laborers. We have ‘graduated’ to ‘Legacy Staff’ status (i.e. staff over 60) and took part in a 3 day gathering of over 800 staff to begin our time in Milwaukee. Our friends from our early days in “The Convertibles” led worship, which was extra special. This was followed by 2 days of all Athletes in Action staff coming together to greet our new AIA president and talk about where AIA is headed. Then the main conference began – 4000 staff together to worship, learn, pray and connect. We came away re-committed to the mission, renewed in our relationship with the Lord, and yes, tired!
Our latest family update: Nicole graduated with her Masters of Library and Information Science degree! We are so proud of all her hard work and diligence these past two years. Now she’s looking for a full-time job and eager to move out on her own! We’ll really miss her in our house but excited for all that’s ahead for her.

- Still waiting to hear about an exciting opportunity for ministry in Kenya! Please pray we’d receive more info on that SOON!
- For wisdom in creating a good rhythm as we enter the fall and to know where best to invest our time and energy. There are always too many opportunities available! We have no international travel until January so this feels like a sweet season of ‘stability’.
- For deep intimacy with the Lord each day, to be filled with the Holy Spirit and serving Him out of the overflow of our love for Him.
