Look at What God Did at Basileia!
For InterVarsity NY/NJ, Basileia represents a culmination of some of our best work in discipleship, leadership development, and culture-building among our students. Every year is unique, not only because of what the students and staff bring to the table, but especially because of how God meets all of us during this conference!
Our God did a lot in this small window of time! But we know from Scripture that He can do a lot with a little, whether it’s three days in a tomb or three weeks of Basileia! By the final day of camp, we had hosted and discipled a total of 453 students, witnessed 21 students make decisions to follow Jesus, trained 127 students in leadership, discovered an additional 80 students who had an interest in vocational ministry, and raised $13,000 in student, volunteer, and staff-donated funding for our sister ministry with IFES in the Caribbean!
Below is a picture of the Utica students and leaders I get to work with from Mohawk Valley, SUNY Poly and Utica University. I am their staff workers for the time being. Pray the Lord raises up a staff for Utica because there are 75 students just in this city alone involved in InterVarsity!
Here are the responses from the 60+ students who attended the Lordship Track I directed for 2 weeks. They posted the one thing God was asking them to surrender. What a beautiful sight to behold.
