Praise in the Mountains
“Praise him, all you mountains and hills. Praise him, all you fruit trees and cedar trees.
Let them praise the name of the Lord. His name alone is honored. His glory is higher than the earth and the heavens.”
(Psalm 148:9, 13 NIrV)
June 2026
Dear Family and Friends,
Bonjour! I hope that you have been staying cool and safe in the recent heatwave that has hit many parts of the world. I am extremely grateful to have spent the worst of it in the mountains for a biblical training camp and the weather was perfect.
June was a month of endings: The students finished their courses, took their exams, and the Bible study groups held their end-of-year celebrations. But with the end of the semester also comes summer camp and time to be refreshed in God’s Word and His beautiful creation.

Biblical Training Camp
The goal of this weeklong camp is to participate in intensive Bible study as well as learn how to put what we read into practice. One highlight was the sermon series we had each morning on the book of Judges. Let me tell you—Judges is not for the faint of heart! There are lots of questionable characters and events, yet we saw how God is just, loving, and faithful, and He works in spite of human pride and disobedience. This truth is both encouraging and challenging!
Another highlight was the chance for me to provide a listening ear. After a workshop about serving in church, I had a conversation with a student about some of her hesitations on this subject. She had been asked to lead a short introductory message before the sermon each week and was questioning her ability. I could sense her self-doubt but also her desire to help. At the end of our chat she still wasn’t 100% clear on what to do but she was more at peace knowing that God would use her whether or not she took the position.
Besides sharing honestly about our faith, studying hard, and praying deeply, we went on a hike with spectacular views, played foosball (which in French is called “babyfoot” and I think that’s adorable), and laughed until we cried. I’m looking forward to August when I’ll attend another similar camp. Thank you for praying for this camp!
Now, back in Paris, I’m using my extra time to be more involved at church, meet one-on-one with students, keep studying French, and host visiting friends.
InterVarsity Link Impact Report 2025-2026
IV Link’s mission is to engage students globally with Jesus Christ by serving under local leadership where it’s needed most. Check out the graphic below to see how your prayers and financial support have made a real difference throughout the world. Thank you!

Praises!
- Praise God for the camp; for the hard work of the organizers, the student participation and the connections that were made.
- My brain was not too overwhelmed trying to balance intense information and French at the same time and that is a HUGE praise!
Prayer Requests
- For the student I mentioned to make a decision about serving in her church with confidence and trust in God.
- For wisdom and diligence in preparing and leading my two student one-on-one bible studies.
- For the August biblical training camp; for wisdom in preparation, smooth travels, and open hearts.
- For energy and focus in learning French. My tutor hasn’t been as available lately so I’m trying to find my own study rhythm.
- For the health of everyone in France during the second heatwave we’re expecting.
Merci! This ministry truly would not be possible without your faithful prayers and support. I’m praying for you, too—please don’t hesitate to reach out with specific requests or just to say hi! (I also love snail mail if that’s more your style!)
With love and gratitude,
Kelsey
PS, I love hearing from you!
