Grace Presbyterian Church is a community of real people who meet from time to time in a beautiful stone-and-mortar building in Montclair. We also meet in virtual spaces like Zoom and Google Meet. More and more we are expanding the ministry of the church into other online spaces, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Here’s a list of our media channels:
- Email: Weekly “This Week at Grace” messages go out each Friday. If you are not at least reading the headlines all the way down, you risk missing important stuff about life at Grace. Other messages go out as needed throughout the week. Not getting those messages? Email office@gracemontclair.org and ask to be added to the list.
- Website: Our website, www.gracemontclair.org, was redesigned in 2021. That’s where we post news about upcoming events, links to recordings of past sermons, and other information that doesn’t change frequently. You can view information about Grace’s staff and mission and the organizations we support and partner with as we carry out that mission. You can donate to Grace at the website, and you can read current and past issues of Grace upon Grace.
- YouTube: Video recordings of sermons and full worship services, going back to the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic are posted on our YouTube channel. You will also find recordings of the choir and children’s ministries. You can subscribe to the channel to make it easier to find edifying and God-glorifying videos.
- Facebook: We use Facebook to promote regular services, events, and programs like Sunday School. We also post links to recordings of worship and sermon videos. Sometimes we might post pictures and stories of everyday life at Grace too, such as repairs to the heating system or improvements to the building and grounds. If you are on Facebook, please go to https://www.facebook.com/gracemontclair and “like” our page.
- Instagram: Grace uses this pictures-and-text platform for some of the same things we share on Facebook. We can’t share links, but we can always share pictures and our excitement about the great things that God is doing at Grace. If you are on Instagram, follow us at https://www.instagram.com/gracepresmontclair.
- Breeze: Grace Church has an account on Breeze, an online platform that we think will help us with volunteer signup, event management, and discovering more about the people who call Grace their church home. Breeze recently merged with Tithely, the program that Grace uses to manage giving. Look for more information in upcoming issues of “This Week at Grace” and Grace upon Grace.
There be dragons: We encourage you to be circumspect in all of your internet use. There are plenty of places in cyberspace where real danger is present, and there is danger in just spending too much time anywhere online. We acknowledge, too, that the internet will never completely replace in-person worship and fellowship, but it has made worship and fellowship possible for us throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and for that we give God thanks.
A note about privacy: Grace Church makes every effort to obtain permission from anyone appearing in a photograph that we would like to use in our media channels. If you believe that we have published a photo of you, or of a child in your care, without your permission, please contact us right away and we’ll remove it.
Can you help with social media? Our website, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube presences are maintained by volunteers and by Pastor Robin. If you would like to help with that effort, please contact the Grace Church office (office@gracemontclair.org) or Pat Walsh (clerk@gracemontclair.org). Thank you!
