Prelude Prelude in E-flat (“Trinity”) Johann Sebastian Bach
Responsive Call to Worship
Wisdom calls us.
Understanding raises her voice.
On the heights!
Beside the way!
At the crossroads!
She takes her stand.
She cries out
To all who live.
She has been from the beginning.
She will be until the end,
Rejoicing in us,
Delighting in us.
Another name for Wisdom is God
Or Trinity
Let us worship the Triune God

Call to Confession
Confession of Sin
Author of Offeror of Wholeness, you call us to live in relationship with you and one another. In your very being, you model community. We have much to learn. Help us to live into the holiness of mutuality, and keep our hearts from greed, apathy, and selfishness. Give us your heart, your mind, and your instincts that may live as “wholly thine,” as one people, your children, one family. Amen. Time for silent prayer and reflection.

Hymn Red 693* “We Believe in God Almighty”
Affirmation of Faith Red 1 “I Bind unto Myself Today”
I bind unto myself today the strong name of the Trinity, by invocation of the same, the Three in One and One in Three.
I bind this day to me forever, by power of faith Christ’s incarnation, his baptism in the Jordan river, his death on the cross for my salvation; his bursting from the spiced tomb, his riding up the heavenly way, his coming at the day of doom, I bind unto myself today.
I bind unto myself today the power of God to hold and lead, his eye to watch, his might to stay,
his ear to harken to my need, the wisdom of my God to teach, his hand to guide, his shield to ward, the Word of God to give me speech, his heavenly host to be my guard.
Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me. Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
I bind unto myself the Name, the strong Name of the Trinity, by invocation of the same, the Three in One, and One in Three, of whom all nature hath creation, eternal Father, Spirit, Word; praise to the God of my salvation; salvation is of Christ the Lord!

Pastoral Prayers/The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
