Thanks to the generosity of a number of Grace members, Grace Presbyterian Church’s Memorial Garden underwent a significant renovation last fall. Improvements include new perennial plantings, the addition of a walkway, grading of the soil, and the addition of mulch to absorb rainfall and reduce the ponding of water on the existing concrete walkways. There is also space for the planting of flowering annuals.
Be sure to stop by the garden as you enter or leave the building this spring! As this issue goes to press, thanks to unseasonably mild weather in February, some new growth is already beginning to emerge.
The garden is in the corner of the building where the sanctuary meets the fellowship hall. Since 1995, the cremated remains of thirty-three individuals from Grace Church have been laid to rest in this space.
