On Good Friday, April 19, 1992 The congregation of Grace Presbyterian Church presented a Passion Play titled “Was Jesus the Messiah, the Christ?” in celebration of the church’s 100th Anniversary. It was written, cast, choreographed, and directed by Terryl Anderson. Matthew Murphy was the boy Jesus and David Emma played the grown up Jesus. Over 100 Grace Church people (ages 2–92) were actors in the play and an additional 90 people made and ironed costumes, built and painted sets, sang in the choir, played in the band, ran the lighting and sound, sewed and hung a huge curtain across the front of the church, made armor, helped with wardrobe, and assisted the director. Lynne Gregory designed over 125 costumes. We hope you enjoy this gallery of photos and captions.
Thank you to Terryl Anderson for providing the photos and text!
