A troubling word—change. It loosens the chains that have arranged our lives by ourselves, by others, by troubling things or issues we cannot control. Foolishly, we think we can standing on the known, comfortable with what is until what is brings change and the troubling word leads us into unknowns. Here we stand. Here I stand. Here you stand, clutching what is thrust into what was ignited by a flame that came burning our hearts inviting us into a trust requiring insight praying on our knees waiting for what comes next and searching the heart of God for comfort in our pleas. Change—a troubling word stirred, leading to a new journey ignited by the Spirit’s flame. We are loved, beloved, embraced by our Savior’s arms. Here we stand. Here I stand. Here you stand… unharmed, in his new plans, held in his grace and never to be the same.
