  • Listening Groups
    • Thursday, October 20, 9 a.m. with morning devotional group on-line
    • Sunday, October 23 after worship in-person
    • Thursday, October 27, 7:30 p.m. on Zoom

Please participate in a Listening Group!  This is your opportunity to share your dreams and visions for the future for Grace Presbyterian Church. These are the questions:

  1. What Biblical stories relate to our life together as a faith community right now?
    and/or, What hymn could be our theme song?
  1. Having read the summary of the Timeline Event, is there anything you would add or amend?
  2. What did you learn from the demographic report and the community interviews?
    • What surprised you? What didn’t surprise you?
    • How well does GPC reflect the community around the church?
    • What needs did you hear that you thought the church might address?
    • Where do you perceive God at work in the community?
  1. Where do you perceive God at work in the congregation?
    • What gifts/talents do you bring to the ministry of GPC? 
    • Or what gifts/talents could you imagine bringing to the ministry of GPC?
    • What or who do you have a heart for in the larger community that would make sacrificing time/energy/resources an easy choice?
    • How are you currently using your gifts/talents in ministry albeit not under the umbrella of GPC?
  2. What do you think needs to be part of our Mission Statement?
  3. What do you think the Pastor Nominating Committee needs to know? 

What’s Next

In November, we will gather the Discernment Team and the Session to develop a Mission Statement for the church that will help the Pastoral Nominating Committee find a pastor to help you live it out.
